DJ QUOTES - A PERSONAL TOUCH
"The album shows a lot of maturity for Mixt Company - vocally, instrumentally, and even in overall production. The song selection is superb - not a wasted track on the project. This is a delightful listening experience."

"These guys have a great sound. The distinctive sound of Mixt Company is the harmonies. If it's really well done, the 3 or 4 voices combine and sound like either a single voice making a chord, or more than 3 or 4 people, because harmonics set up between the voices creating new tones. And Mixt Company does that.I like this album - Mixt Company - "A Personal Touch" "

Thanks for sending me a copy of "A Personal Touch". Your harmonies are great and I’m always glad to hear more women in bluegrass! Also enjoy the mando licks…"Gypsy Moon" is tasty. Good writing too, I really like "Daddy’s Old Guitar".
Again, thanks, and be sure you’ll be getting some airplay here in Tampa!!

Many thanks for sending us a copy of your band's new release which, like your debut, I enjoyed very much. And I think "A Personal Touch" is even better -- the band is tighter and the songs just can't be beat. Virginia has written several killer numbers -- I really like "Less Traveled Road" and the band does a fine job on "Listen, Listen" (a chilling number), "If It's Just A Cabin" and "Train Of Heartache." Congratulations (once again) on a bluegrassical outing well done. I'll do my best to help spread the word.

Just wanted to thank you for the new release, really like it. Sitting here listening to White Dove, waiting until time to go to the radio station. My favorites are: Less Traveled Road, Train of Heartache, Daddy's Old Guitar, Gypsy Moon. Keep it up. Will add to our play list today.

"As someone who grew up far from country music and came to it only
recently, I always believed that most of it -- most of it made after 1960, at least -- was overproduced and undertalented. But Mixt Company shows that modern country can still be what old-time music was and what real hand-made country music must be: relevant storytelling and musicmaking that describes people's lives and tribulations, and touches them in ways they need, more than ever, to be touched."
